AviClear Acne Laser Treatment at Clinica Lase
Clinica Lase is excited to introduce AviClear, the first and original TGA-cleared energy device for the treatment of mild to severe acne. Utilising a 1726 nm wavelength, AviClear targets and reduces the sebaceous glands at the source, ensuring effective and safe treatment for all skin types and tones. AviClear is particularly beneficial for those opting out of medical interventions, including women considering starting a family or those who are pregnant, as it avoids the potential risks associated with acne medications.
What is AviClear and how does it work?
AviClear uses the power of laser technology (1726nm) to selectively target and suppress
the sebaceous glands, assisting to eliminate acne at the source. It is the
first FDA cleared energy device used for the treatment of mild, moderate and
severe acne. Its aim being to address one of the primary causes of acne, the over
production of sebum (oil) in the skin.
What does the Avi Clear program involve?
The AviClear program is a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. In
addition to a complimentary 3 step homecare routine, each session will include
VISIA clinical photography to monitor progress. Followed by the AviClear
technology itself, before concluding with complimentary laser genesis to
address the inflammatory component. At the completion of said 3 treatments, the
client will attend 6-, 8- and 12-week reviews for complimentary LED, and VISIA
photography.
How much does the Avi Clear program cost?
The complete program of 3 sessions will cost $3,250 – with a
$1,250 deposit required to secure the first booking. Once the first session is
complete, the remaining $2,000 will need to be paid in order to book in the
remaining sessions. With complimentary homecare, 3 x laser genesis and 3 x LEDs
being provided (valued at $1,447.00).
During the treatment, what sensations can I expect to feel?
AviClear is equipped with exclusive cooling tip and sensors to maintain your skins
temperature during treatment for a more comfortable experience. It also
requires the skin to remain wet during the laser treatment, therefore you may
notice a cold pressure alongside a brief snapping sensation. Some patients
experience a mild to moderate discomfort, which is normal, tolerable and brief.
Topical numbing cream or relaxing agents is not recommended.
When can I expect to see results?
Most patients will begin to see results within 12 weeks after the final treatment,
and may continue to see improvement over the follow 12 months post treatment.
However, a small subset of patients may wait up to 6 months before seeing
noticeable improvements to come through. Results may vary, like any medical
treatment, results cannot be guaranteed.
What can I expect post treatment?
It is extremely common to experience a purge or flare up of acne during the course of
treatment, typically flares lasting up to 8-12 weeks post final treatment. These
have been reported by some patients to appear worse than the original acne
breakouts.
What does my AviClear homecare look like?
During the program, it is expected that the client will use the provided homecare and
SPF daily – at a minimum. This is to ensure the skin health is
being maintained in-between treatments. Additional products can be included or
recommended under the guides of your dermal clinician, to ensure that no
topical products will impact negatively the results of the AviClear treatment
program. If you are unsure if your products are appropriate, you may bring in
the products for your AviClear consultation for the clinician to advise.
Does this Avi Clear treat hyperpigmentation or pre -existing acne scarring?
No, AviClear is not designed to treat hyperpigmentation or pre-existing acne
scarring. It is designed to address the over production of sebum. Once the
AviClear program has been completed, your dermal clinician will provide you
with a detailed treatment outline for what the next steps are to address the
additional symptoms present eg, acne scarring, enlarged pores or hyper
pigmentation.
